Internet speed test
ive just done a speed test and have the below results but havnt a clue what they mean
can anyone explain
ive been with telewest/ntl/virgin media for 6 years never had a problem until this week its just so slow

Thats nearly 8mb mate, is that the speed your paying for?
The rest looks fine so you shouldnt be slow at all

i think if youre on 10mb broadband, as i am, them youre a little down on the best download speed you'll probably get, roughly 9.5mb at very very best.
Your ping is quite good, when used in gaming mostly.
And you upload seems as good as you'll get as well.
so all in all if youre paying for 10mb then thats not too bad.

any idea why its so slow at times ?
im using a imac is there any scan etc i can use to check all is ok
could it be a problem with the imac to wireless router ?

mate, its NTL which is now Virgin at times it can get a bit slow,due to the amount of trafic on the internet that goes through the Virgin network.
Incidently, what do you call slow?

usually whenever i click on something within 1 or 2 seconds its loaded but its sometimes taking 10 15 seconds, is that classed as normal as i call it slow lol
