Right, have to shuffle my feet a little here. It looks like I've managed to fry one of my Focal speakers. I'm really annoyed as I've never blown a speaker despite having a fair few sets in my time.

Unfortunately I can no longer spend that sort of money on replacing them so need some suggestions. They are being run off an old Kenwood PS100 amplifier 2x75w.

Have found a set of Vibes that are supposedly 100w RMS capable but have no idea if they're any good.

Any suggestions on speakers? Still hoping I'll pop the door card off and find it's just a bad connection but I'm not so sure

have you tried to get the fried speaker repaired ? Have you spoken to Focal ?

Slightly different scenario, but I bought a set of Boston Acoustics years ago for the Cossie which cost me about £300. The grills were quite flimsy and broke. I sent an email off to Boston H/O in the USA and a week later they had sent me 3 sets free of charge!!! Doesn't cost anything to ask and you never know !
