Default is it any good?

hi guys, 7 years ago i bought for £600 a 1.8 xr3i zetec engine but never used it. its since been sat in the corner of a gagage gathering dust. will t be any good? it doesnt look rusty just dusty, it is worth anything? also im doing a mk4 escort van project so would it be of any use to me?? or would it be of any use to any of you guys?? i enjoy doing bodywork and panels but dont know bugger all about engines really. someone help info needed guys. is it a good engine?? help

strip it and re-build it if you are in doubt, there are pleanty of guides of how to out there, didnt you post a thread like this this morning? or did it get taken down as a for sale thread?

not too sure what happened im new to this site and could have used it wrong. i did post a thread similar to this but cant find it again to see f i had any replies lol. id love to strip and rebuild an engine where would i find the guides?? and would it be worth putting in a mk 4 escort van? it has an old efi xr3i 1.6 in at moment.

The zetec engine into the van would be a good conversion , much better than an old cvh and a firly easy conversion. as for guide's. Google is yor answer

great thanks for the advice ill google it see how tricky it seems. anyone got a wiring loom kicking about?????? need more advice on the rear engine mount that will need changing so a mk4 will take this engine.
