Default stoptech brakes...good?

Hi,

i was talking to a bloke which keep saying stoptech brakes 4pots are as good as the AP6pot...

he says after one year racing the discs and the pads are still good.
he says AP's arent after one year racing...

Stoptech are big in the US. I was approached around a year ago for UK distribution, but didn't think that highly of the product. I have never tried them in a back-to-back test with AP's, so cannot really say either way. I would stick with the known quantity i.e. AP's

Best of luck.

One of my mates has them on his RSX they were a huge improvement over the stockers but I don't think they would be as good as AP's. He did find it hard to get a decent pad compound that wouldn't destroy the rotors at track days. For my money I would spend the 30% more to get the AP's.
