Been there chop and it is not nice. I worked for nearly 10 years in Africa and it finally got me.... I got malaria (Plasmodium falciparum) and i was taking Malarone so it is not fool proof. The mother of all headaches and the pain inside the bones (fuck it was sore) and finally passed out. Local doc said i did not have Malaria but ended out getting treated by the Chinese embassy.
Hope you are getting better but do go back to the UK Docs and get a good MOT done including the liver

Getting prices from Nuts, spoke to him about it ages ago, but I'm such a tight c*nt that i was trying to wait until i got the white one sorted but now I need to start thinking about getting the 4x4 on the road for next year so if i don't start buying bits soon i'll miss out when the weather turns good as i have lots of work i want to do to it before the spring. Don't think i'll bother painting the RWD, think i'll just get it MOT'd and try to sell it w/o much more work.

I fly to Ghana a lot and recently 3 crew have died of malaria. This is despite been given a injection prior to starting the job and a booster injection.

my old man caught maleria in nigeria working for shell,he has been all over the place grafting for oil companys in the control rooms,he knows you can never lose it but was not prepared for the side effects,his penis shrivelled up and now a thimble would feel baggy.

Nasty shit... We get Malaria tablets etc for Iraq/ Afghanistan, and to be honest with you 90% of people just don't bother with the meds as they make you feel so bad 
...
One of the things that will stick with me forever was the briefing board in Afghan, all the daily happenings/hot poop etc, well one big notice in red letters said " Malaria, real threat, take your meds"... Underneath someone had graffitied on " Rocket attacks and suicide bombers harmless fun"...

Just spent the weekend fecking about at BOND. Flew all the way out to PBLJ and couldn't land cos of the fog! 3 attempts at checking in later and the job got cancelled.

I'm pretty sure my mum got maleria a few holidays back, but she just got checked over fan she got back to the UK and took a few peels. No issues since.
Those folk die over there due to the lack of cashetos to buy the health care. Just get hame in one piece and dinna worry about it.
