hi all, im quite new to the site and looking to gather some information on a moonstone 3 door cosworth, with the number plate K500COS

the car was fetured in fastford magazine some time between 03-05 i think, and im after the magazine with the feture or copys of the feture and any photos/ infomation anyone has of the car , to be honist anything would be greatly appericiated !

....and before people start riping me to shreds < please dont !! > i know abit about the cars history and what it is and more importainly what the car isent ! iv seen some other threds on the car and some peoples opinions , im just looking for some extra infomation to filll in the bits i dont know and pics of what the car once looked like so it can be put back to how the old girl once looked

like i said anything will be greatly appericatied !!

Correct me if i'm wrong but how can a 3 door cos have a K reg plate? As far as i'm aware the latest a 3 door plate could be was an E reg. Could it have been a fake plate for the mag feature?

Hi Mate the guy that used to own that car worked at PTS then A1 rallysport for a while maybee they could help you ?? it was a very nice 3door .His name was jay i think he sold up & moved to spain to become a DJ

because it was built up from new parts in 93. so although ford themselves didnt build it as a 500 it was made of 500 parts.the log book says cosworth 500 but thats how it was registered.

it was in the fast ford with a red gartrac cossie powered series 2 on the front if thats any help lol

as far as i can remember it was built by a1 rallysport using a motorsport shell, then registered as a 500. its had a fair few owners, one lad off here, cant remember his username but his name is jordan, he had it round this way a couple of years back.maybe if he sees this post he can help, also it was for sale on here quite a while ago, the thread might still be on here

it was broken up and was sitting as a bare shell last year, it was some woman who i spoke to when i rang up about it, but she wanted a stupid price for it because it was one of the (most famous) 3 doors around lol

thanks for the the infomation people and kind words lol much appericated , i may get some pics up if i get the chance , its not a bare shell , and to my knowledge never was , altho a lot of 500 related parts have being removed unfortunatly, its a 90% compleat car just looks like normal 3 door now so needs gettin back to how she once looked

yes very true the car was a build up , then was broken


no Rs500 has "Rs500 on the log book" it just says ford sierra cosworth as every Rs500 was built as 3doors all the rs500 is an evolution of the 3dr

I know this car really well and know j from a1 rally sport etc. When it was featured in fastford he put an add up asking more information about it as he bought it off a customer when he worked for pts. It was built i think by someone in norfolk area to 500 spec and registered in 1993. I guy called dave bought it in colchester as a write off cat(c) had it rebuilt and repaired to a good standard. Had to be jigged as damage to the front and was pushed over inner wings were pulled out and one new wing fitted. It sat for over a year under a cover to wait till he decided what to do with it. Paula a breaker in colchester then brought it and broke it straight away(shame) She then sold it to a breaker who built it back up. I looked at it twice to buy it put the cat c put me off. I have the mag feature on it and can tell you the edition if you want to back order it.

it was a shell mate it was advertised on ebay with pics of it, it just had the windows in, and i had to take my running gear up to fetch it
but when the women told me it was a cat c it put me off for the price she was asking for it
