Basically she met a guy on facebook, they went out for a couple of weeks, they went to a hotel, he ended up raping her, then she obviously rejected him after that (didn't go to the police), he couldn't handle it and got his mate to throw acid in her face to get back at her

People who have gone through these attacks suffer badly. Nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks and so on. No-ones really knows what goes on in they're heads as most of the time it hurts less (for a short time) to be happy around family and friends but when they're on they're own its a different story. I know, I am going through it with a family member myself! Katie is an absolute star and brave as they come

I can't imagine what it must feel like to be raped John, but from a womans point of view, at least those scars can be hidden (even though perhaps you will never get over it) people wont look at you in the street and be able to tell you were raped or the mental pain it caused, the permanent physical scars will be a constant reminder, her life will never be the same again, regardless of whether she was stunning or not, I can imagine someone not so confident would seriously go 'into' themselves and perhaps never be the same again if makes sense

I saw thestart of this, felt so sorry for her.
There was about 8 blokes in a room when this came on, we were all mucking about and being loud, room went silent when she started talking and it showed her in hospital.
