Default focus zetec 1.8 remap?

would a focus 1.8 zetec gain much from a remap or a chip, i know this works well on turbo'd cars and diesels, just wounderd if i would benifit?? maybe more tourqe? cheers

Not a lot to be honest 5bhp or so and better drivability. Bolt a supercharger to the bugger, that'll give it a kick up the arse

looked on your site, roughly 9bhp and 20nm of torque, dont know much about torque, what would the 20nm feel like? not much more pull in it?


also forgot to mention the car has focus central throttle bodie, full st170 exshaust, and KnN panel filter if that makes any difference?

Generic remaps usually give increases from 4000rpm upwards. So the car feels a lot friskier when really pushing it. I dyno'd the change with and without bluefin gave 4bhp and 2ft.lbs increase (in conjunction with quite a few other mods though).

If you can then i would go to somewhere like msd and they will get the best outta your engine- don't bother with a generic re-mapon n/a imo, i did and wish i didn't bother.
