DazC, The choices are...

1) Bottom pulley - you say you dont want to do this..

2) Flywheel change for efi - you say you dont want to do this either !!!!

3) Dizzi - You say you want to get rid of this

These are your ONLY options

No Simon..

I want to do the bottom pulley but NOT Sierra stuff and I don't want to mess about dropping the engine mounts or taking the bottom pulley off every time I want to change the alternator belt.....I just wanted to see what options people can come up with on how to do the crank pulley so I know if I can get something easy enough (buy off the shelf type thing) or if I then have to go about re inventing the wheel.

Hope this clears it up for you!

Not true! There are other ways of being able to trigger two sensors at the right times to control a Dizzyless system.

Maytee have you ever had to change an altenator belt or cam belt with the bottom pulley stuff as its ALOT better and by far easier to change both belts with this system!!

Hope this clears things up a bit

All I want is to have crank angle sensing ability on the crank pulley....yet I don't want to encroach to close to the inner wing preventing space to slip a belt in...

If you mean the Sierra stuff, If I am to have the pulley adapted, I might as well make a toothed wheel and graft it to the original crank pulley.

Jano_OddKidd, I can see this would be taken wrongly.

Dazc was after a "bolt on off the shelf" method.
This does tend to restrict things !

Was on about having a cam position sensor dangling above the campulley and trying to fit the 16 cvh cover back on....might need trimming a little.

Hi Gary! Some of that could be useful to me!! I shall bear it in mind when I weigh it all up. The management isn't going on immediately so I will assess my options next month sometime.
