I drift my 4x4 on roundabouts all the time. I guess 2wd drifting is much more difficult/dangerous, but you can't just say he's a criminal because he drifted on a roundabout.

I'm sure it was justified and proportionate force.

And yes drifting round a rounderbout is dangerous driving, so that does make you a criminal

lets be fair here, unless anyone here has some video footage of what happened leading up to the incident then no one is every gonna know what happened but i love the way all the police haters are coming out saying it's their fault when the bloke coulda been tripping his tits off driving like a complete twat trying to get away, if they'd not stopped him and he'd gone tearing up the road and wrote one of your cars off i bet then it would have still been the police's fault for not ramming him off the road to stop him!

Well I'm not going to get into an argument. I drift my 4x4 Cossie out of habit, and I'm not dangerous, and I guess it's a lot different drifting a RWD car, I've never had a big power RWD car so I can't comment on that.

The last one I went to in mk, the was a little corsa with playboy bunny numberplates flying around the carpark at 70 doing handbrake turns at either end, low and behold, one more lap, an rx7 starts to reverse out of a parking space, the corsa clips it and goes spinning into the back of several other cars. Then a clio and a fiesta collided cos they were both to busy looking at the accident.

I then realised the rs was park about 20 feet away and thought, "done with this". its just not worth it.

I'd advise you go and check the law on the subject. You are driving dangerously, no matter how safe you think you are.

We don't want their sort on track days, they're the cunts likely to crash into someone because they don't want to let the faster car past

He was probably reported for doing it earlier anyway and the police were on the way down to get him for it, probably saw him and stopped him for it.

thing is no ones saying we are all angels. the difference is most people dont go looking for trouble!!!!!

Thes idiots drift in a busy place full of other cars to hit, lots of pedestrians to kill and a high chance of coppers being there

The only difference is these pedestrians are fellow CHAVs and cars are fellow CHAV Racers cars.

Doesnt make it any less risky does it?? in fact it makes it more risky because these needle dicked idiots get false beliefs in thier driving skills and attempt to show off.

Surprising there havent been more fatalitys to be honest!!!

Yet in the eyes of the law its the same offence as a grown up car enthusiast who has a bit of fun on a deserted industrial estate on his/her own one night with no risk to others with risk mostly to thier wallet.

Theres a huge difference between dickheads showing off to impress thier mates and 14 year old pregnant girlfriend and people who just want to have a bit of fun and a bit of an addrenaline kick.

Sadly we are all lumped in the same boat in the eyes of the authorities.

Im surprised the bigger car owners clubs havent done more to officially distance us decent car enthusiasts as far away from the immature CHAV racer element before the government really clamps down with new laws that will penalise everyone.

I love the police haters, when they get broken into, car stolen, crashed into, girlfriend raped, mother murdered, kid abused, etc, I’m sure they won’t be calling the police as they’re useless, thus saving vital resources for them to just sort it out with keyboards

There is a difference, this mutual hatred is for "traffic police" (road nazi's).

Like the one on my random stop check, who took me to the station for "being funny" lying about my rs turbo and saying it had a 1.6 turbo when his partner had told me it had a 2.0 engine. What a waste of time that all turnt out to be, didnt even get an appology.
