Default FAO Geeks - How to watch iplayer abroad?

I saw something about this the other day with someone speaking about watching from abroad as you're supposed to only see it from the UK.

Is it checked through ip?
How can i get round this?

it wouldnt stream the data fast enough to watch video though, have this problem across my intranet let along across the internet

you need to find a proxy server set up over here and route through it

or get someone to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network) 'dial' into the UK then use the internet as normal
