3 of us went for a rip on the 25 the other morning and lets just say 150mph was very easily met THERE was no other cars on there @ 8 in the morning
I'd say just keep an eye on it and try NOT to boot it until you get your other injectors etc what ones you going for

cossies do smoke, cossies are designed to burn fuel too ( thankfull not as much as a m5 bmw , 1 to 1.5 litres easch 1000 miles for them )
really best speaking to a tuner though mate tbh
also soooooooo many turbo cars on here smoke when doing as ya say and some of them have mint engines and new turbos
how much oil is ya car using

B19BAL : Read the bit about your M5 eating loads of oil.
Not sure what M5 you have, but my buddy as a late V8 M5 (paid 22k for it about a year ago) and it had just had a BMW Replacement Engine fitted due to high oil consumption........... All under a recal warranty.
Might be worth checking it out with BMW. He was told that anything over 1 litre of oil consumption a month, and BMW will fit a replacement engine.
It's something to do with the Nickaseal Engine bores that were done on the early engines and they had a problem with them, so replaced many engines free of charge.......
Check it out with BMW.

have ya tested the engine for leak down and compression ect
2 litres in 2 weeks is bad unless ya drive all day long
thing with turbos its they all seem fooked even when they aint
and there always failing due to contamitated oil too
oh and theres nothing wrong with getting help and assistace from fellow profesionals too as some may have come accross problems before that ya never thought of
i work on cycles for a liviong and i have prob in my years of experinece seen more strange tinny problems with bikes that others over look and spend alog time diagnoising at the customers expense and also same goes the other way

thats what iam trying to say is advise is all ways needed and you can never no to much thanks for all your time if it was steam seals then it would smoke when started from cold so its turbo or rings i take it
#30
just finding my feet
rings would be on accleration i belive , dont quote me as im no where near a mechanic
turbo would be white and also some cossies do have smoky turbos ( sorry dont mean to soudn like im being patronising at all )
if in doubt pop in to a pro, get a second pros opinion and ya never know

If it were stem seals it would smoke all the time, especially on start up, and if its rings then you will get back pressure through the breather into the air box - check the top of the air filter and the hose going into it for oily deposits, if these are clean then the next option is below.
Have you gone to a synthetic or thicker oil recently as this may be why the turbo has started to use oil as its getting past the seals - mobil 1 motorsport 15w50 is very thick at this time of year until fully warmed through and this could be the cause as the shaft may not be floating correctly allowing oil to bypass the seal rings. The 2wd YB in my experience does not seem to like the new Mobil 1 motorport -it makes them rattly and drink oil - its fine in 4x4 but a good mineral oil regularly changed seems best for the 2wd - Valvoline 5w50 mineral oil for turbo engines works well in standard or lightly tuned 2wd engines
Go for the cheap and easy options first - change the oil to a thinner spec and if its still smoking then get a turbo rebuild kit from Danny at rad designs (about Ł65) its easy to rebuild a turbo especially if you are a mechanic
If both of the above dont solve your problems then its head off time - but at least you have fresh oil and turbo so its not money wasted.

right thanks for you response right i have put in a brand new total seal back ring in the turbo and every thing looks in mint condition this all started when i took the head off to put a new head gasket as the last head gasket wasnt torqued up right so it was leaking water from the side of the head gasket ther was no over heating or missing or smokeing the only smoke i had was if i riped it to about 6000 rpm and come of then on the gas then i gave 1 puff of blue smoke other than that it was perfect iam runnig 1.5 bar on greens and ther was no sighn of det at all so now it seams that my fuel is so bad that Ł10 gets me 30 miles my breather is mint with no sighns of oil at all so what now do i need to get the car set up even if it was set up 4 month ago with the old head gasket
#34
Did you change both turbo seal rings and replace the bearings otherwise you may have caused an imbalance allowing oil to escape (all this comes in the kit)
Have to agree about getting it set up properly as its Ł100 well spent
