Default Question about MFI CVH ( Can they chatter )

Ok from one persons opinion to the other,

Wastegate chatter.

i've heard that you can't get turbo stall chatter from an MFI CVH turbocharged engine.

but then i've also heard that you can a member from here that lives next door has a built and maped Norris motorsport engine.(MIF CVH) with a standard T3 turbo. he tells me that it chatters.. i wont say it dont, but also im not 100% sure to what chatter he is getting.

Im torn between it and it not. answer in post card

all high boost erst chatters, you just cant hear it well on mfi as its muffled by the metering unit, where as on efi the turbo is directly connected to the filter so you can hear the chatter much clearer

Must we have this debate again ? With a decent setup and a fair amount of boost a Ford Escort RS Turbo will chatter. When running a dump valve you will get a chirp before the pppttttsssss sound which is why I removed my dump valve. I will post my Brands Hatch video again once off the throne

So you should, now, take your car to your tuner and demand it leave there chattering !

For the record, when me and my m8 experimented with home tuning and fitted a bleed valve, we got 16psi out what I believe to be the standard ecu. That chattered like fuck. Can't beging to imagine what the ACT's were on the standard cooler tho
