i thought all S1's come in white?
Or not (not a forsale add. first red S1 i have ever seen to this date!

1985 red series1 for sale,much loved car, owned for the past 6 years,nice and clean for age.mot till next july tax until the end of december.theres so much to mention about, the main points are thats its had a full engine rebuild,new turbo,ap organic clutch,last rolling road set up was 196bhp,new front adjustable suspension.its an original series1 which got sprayed 2years ago in fords radiant red,and was done basically as a bare shell,with photos,its also good condition underneath,gutted its got to go,but i need the space and because i dont use it as an every day car its a waste just sat there,any views or questions welcome. price is £4300 ono please phone 07789910082

Looks lovely in red.
Reminds me of that gorgeous on that was in Scotland a few years back which was unfortunately a rung 16i shell on a c plate S1 identity

There were a couple of non white ones from the factory, but none that were on sale to the general public, so not really "standard" cars really, as they were customised beyond the standard options list.

Actually if you were prepared to pay you could. there is a well known grey one that was a special order for a normal customer, not standard obviously but as with all Fords in those days, if you asked and could pay, you could pretty much have what you wanted

ford made all s1's white all the others were returned to the paint shop for new paint these been the data post cars race and promo car im sure its only the 2 black 1's that were painted black to start with as they had 16i kit on. now dont get shouting if im slightlyu off the mark but im sure thats how it went down

and purchaser liked the colour and paid the extra to have S1 done.
