A 350 transit will tow 3.5 tons. Which is the max you can tow for a braked trailer.unbraked i dont know but i wouldnt like to pull a mini digger on an unbraked trailer.

The total combined weight including trailer on a 350 transit must not exceed 3500 tonnes. So what you can actually tow will be 3500 tonnes minus the weight of the transit. Anything above this you will need a tachograph fitted to the vehicle and the vehicle plate weight would have to be altered.

you would technially need a tacho fitted in a vehicle which has a potential train wieght of 3.5 tons ie loaded van+trailer weight unless it is being used without reward.
if you use full electric or full gas then you will be exempt from tacho but still required to keep a drivers log.
