They were horrid looking cars, still are, but cant be many about now, think there were 2500 made originally?
As for a price would try migweb for a good guide?

they were supposed to have the 130 engines in them though
nice cars at the time, look very dated now, but that looks a minter
still drove like a bag o shite and worse brakes than a 1.6 capri
but very very good powerful and economical engines, just let down by the rest of the car

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
4k/2.3k? You'd have to be a hardcore vauxhall fan to shell out that much for a cavalier with a bodykit. Low production volume or not IMHO its not THAT special.
I like these but there are plenty of other cars - even vauxhalls i'd be after before one of these at that sort of money.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Ugly then, ugly now, ugly in 100 years!
I'd value it less than an ordinary Cavalier so I could pay to replace the kit, especially the front grill and bumper.

Not entirely sane
I always thought they looked great. A friend of mine had one with the Turbo Technics kit on it and a load of Irmscher performance parts on as well. The body kit was made by Irmscher. He started the Calibre Register which has now evolved into Club Irmscher. They are the sole UK distributor for Irmscher. Not sure if he still does, but he used to organise the VBOA meet at Billing Aquadrome as well, he managed to get 11 Lotus Carltons together one year. He's a proper Vauxhall nut and I still rib him for it!

I might have been in contact with the guy you talk about. He has had 5 of the calibre's. We found the reg plate last night and a HPI report shows the car was a CAT B write off in 2002. It does not state it was scrapped though? would it? or should it? Or is there a chance its in a barn somewhere?
