Default What I spent my afternoon doing

Well after Sunday lunch, I when out with a coffee into the garage, put some tunes on the Ipoo, rolled a zoot, and chilled out and did this....

This is the second one I'v started, already done one for my car a few months back, but this has now been sprayed panther black and fitted, doing these next too out of boredom, there is only so much time i can spend looking for a job, with out going mad!lol
They will prob be going up for sale in the future when more complete, but I shall put up a proper for sale thread in the right place.

Well Iv done a bit more, now I'm stuck a bit any idea on what i can do.

Here is where i'm stuck, round the ford badge, any tips from anyone?
Also if anyone has any idea on different wheels and abrasive "stuff" would be helpful and websites for good quality products would be good too, as I'm doing most of the work with a 4" 120 grit wheel.

looking good bud

i`d be tempted to get rid of the ford badge altogether with maybe an 80 grit flapper wheel perhaps tho am sure many on here will advise better than me

i do my polishing with a high speed core drill (upto 4000rpm) set in my vice and assorted mops and abrassive disks from an auto market near me

gets good results and very rewarding when done DIY tho very messy

I use a bench grinder mounted on a steel post set into my garage floor, but I only use bout 2000rpm tho, what difference can i get with using a higher rmp?

On the last on I did i removed the ford badge, but I thinking that this one, to be polished and paint the ford badge blue.

just find it a little easier to get the soap/wax to cut the alloy and get on to a nice finish tho i do run it around 3500rpm not full speed
