best pda phone!
My contracts up for upgrade later this month.
As the prices of minutes/phones seem to have gone down so much i can afford any phone i want and still pay less per month than i do now!!
Now im a student, what id like is a phone thats also a PDA. I want this so i can read lecture notes (word docs/powerpoint/excel) etc while im travelling to uni on the bus.
A few years back i had an 02 XDA 2 which was a fully functioning PDA and phone and i could do all that no problem from the windows mobile OS with mobile version of office.
Now a quick net surf seems to show that PDA's have died a death as modern phones have absorbed thier functionality.
But it seems very few phones are capable of doing office type functions!!!
The mobile phone shop were useless as the staff just dont know enough about thier own products and the ones who do know a bit say things like "Oh that phone will do it but the softwares not included" etc which is kind of fucking useless
So my options at the moment seem pretty limited to the blackberry range a couple of LGs and possibly the nokia N97 if you can get the apps like the shop bloke claimed.
So over to the pf phone massive.......

the HTC Hero can open XL, PDF and word files easily. you can also download different programmes to edit these as well, many are free of charge, like the iphone market.
