Default Urgent help needed please read!

My S1 broke down a couple of days ago. Lost complete power, tryed to restart the engine and it was turning over but not starting. Called the CSMA and after a few checks said it was my fuel pump (fuel pump wasn't priming). Ordered a new fuel pump, fitted it, still not starting (fuel pump still not priming). Called the CSMA again and they said it was my fuel pump relay. Ordered a new relay and fitted it this morning. The fuel pump now primes ands the car starts but will die again a few seconds after. However, if I bridge the relay using plug 30 and 87 it will run fine.

Any ideas?

it's not receiving the engine runnin signal from the ecu by the sounds of it. The relays energises, but will turn off as a safety device if engine isnt running. Could be the connection on that relay terminal.

Do you know which connection it is mate?

I've looked at the wiring diagram but it looks very confusing

I think you might be right mate just reconnected the old relay and it has the same problem. It doesn't seem to start the engine all the time but it dies soon after though.

So......

My new question is what else feeds info to the fuel pump relay and does anyone know where they are located so I can check them all?
