Default any merc/ chrysler techs on board?

hi guys,
ive got a chrysler crossfire in with an annoying noise on idle coming from one of the pulleys.sounds like the side with the water pump/alternator and you can "feel" the noise on the alternator.
however with the belt removed the alternator feels fine, there is the tiniest bit of play in water pump but its quiet again.there is an idler pulley above the water pump which felt slightly rough but span really freely, ive regreased it and it feels fine now.

are water pumps and issue on merc 3.2 v6 engines? or if not,any ideas.its really annoying as it only seems to do it on idle!!!

I don't think the water pumps are a common problem to go wrong. If yours has, then its just a one in how-ever-many.

its just one of those annoying noises.it only does it on idle take it over 1000rpm and it goes away.
defo a pulley/idler issue as it doesnt do it with the belt off and car running.
