how much is a 2.0l naturally aspirated cosworth engine worth and gearbox??

you might get better answers off an old skool site where the engines are more commonplace... maybe.

yeah turbosport would be the place, i would say that engine is worth a fair bit and the box, must have cost a lot to build! I have been offered a big spec n/a cossie lump for 2 grand and its had 5 grand spent on the head porting, cams, etc. your not going to get back anywhere what you spent on it...

yup! the cosworth head was designed to be turbocharged, the ports are all wrong for n/a but its easy to cock up when porting them too.

I cant remember the website, but when I was starting to build my old N/A cossie I can remember seeing 2 n/a engines on a classics rallying website for something like 7.5k to 9k due to the amount of work need to the head.

These will have been serious engines mate at that price , more than just a bit of fancy head work

Oh fuck yeah, they were something like 280ishbhp and that's a mind blowing figures on n/a. Wish I had, had the money to finish building mine.

The n/a cos i can pick up is quite old its 260 bhp and it was hillclimbed in a kit car, a decent proven n/a cos will still only be worth what someone will pay for it unfortunately...
