Am I being a grumpy old man?
My property shares a communal landing space with 4 other properties. My neighbour directly opposite seem to have adopted this communal landing for his kids to run around and scream on. His front door is wide open and the screesching of the littles darlings echo's round the landing and my property.
I've already had words with him for his mates smoking canabis on the landing stinking out my home and he was pretty cool about it.
The noise is starting to get on my tits now but I din't want to be a moaning grumpy old man

Chip mate, it's every Saturday and Sunday without fail from about 7:30am through to sometimes 10:30 at night. Also happens some weeknights as well . TBH If it was one weekend a month I wouldn't be worried but I lie in bed at the weekends waiting foe the childs screech!

Would love to see how you intend to follow through on that threat, set fire to his kids maybe? Or are you just shouting your mouth off?
Bear in mind this guy is his neighbour, who he has to live around, and park his car near etc, not to mention the fact the bloke was reasonable last time, so why kick off without needing to?

Thing that gets me is if their kids fall over whilst playing ton the stairs you can bet your bottom dollar they will be on to the council like a shot to complain and claim compo.
Think I'll grab a quiet word later and see what happens from there.

If you go in all guns blazing he is probably going to react agressively in return, either to your face or against your property.
No point falling out with people you have to live with if you dont need to fall out with them.

No intention of falling out with the guy if it can be avoided. As Chip said I have to live here and park my car here. I can't be bothered starting WW3 with somebody because they are being a bit inconsiderate.
I just wanted to make sure it wasn't me just being a grump old sod as I know my fuse is a lot shorter these days. A quiet word will be the order of the day
