Default TDCi help please . . .

out in our Mondeo TDCi and suddenly lost about half the power. It felt like the turbo wasn't working and the coil light started flashing. I limped home, fired her up again and now she's right as rain again. Any ideas folks ? cheeRS in advance

Yep sounds like an injector failing on you mine does the same every now and then have it plugged in and see which knock sensor shows up that will tell you what injecor it is thats messing about.
When mine plays up i just flick the ignition off and back on fixed lol

Thanks Mark Although the previous owner said they were done under warranty while he had the car as they were a common problem ?

Yep defo a common problem they may have only been recoded not changed the recode does work but not all the time

very true this..happened to me. If they need recoding more than twice,they say to replace them

Keep hearing horror stories like this, had a guy local to me tell me he spent £490 having 1 changed!!

There is a guy over on MEG that can get injectors for £250 i think it was for a full set so it's just a case of getting them programed buy a local specialist after fitting them.

But hey if anyone wants to pay £1500 ill quite happily supply and fit them 4 injectors that gives me enough money to buy the right equipment to do the recoding the injectors and still make £250 proffit!!!!!!!!

Check over on MEG im sure there is someone there that can fill you in and help out
