Hmmm.....i dont follow your thinking Porkie TBH as its coming from 1 into 2 back out of 1....on the Goose it was virtually str8 thru.....needed to have done an RR bhp test before and after....but for real you aint got nowhere near 605bhp incar especially as its now remapped by someone else from the original dyno day map....IMO of course.

Who the fook told you that?

The same person who told you a side exit screamer pipe makes the car unstable at speed? Someones taking the piss mate.

Why on earth would it make a bang bang sound?
Its just a pipe letting the exhaust gas out without any silencers or having to go thru the turbo, it sounds like a fucking loud exhaust, nothing else.

Dont you think the name gives you a hint?
Its called a screamer pipe as it fookin screams, rather than a bangbang pipe.

You probly have heard a screamer pipe if you watch any vid clips of mad cars, just didnt realise.

You know when you hit FULL boost and suddenly the exhaust sound gets louder and harsher? (More so when you got no middle box) Its like that, just even more so...

Phil, I will be using bigger Exhaust housing than the car was dyno'd on and rev the car past 8k on the road... so you are right I don't think I have 606bhp in car either.... oh and I think Karl has made the car FASTER not slower when he remapped it!!!

Phil, please call Hayward and Scott URGENTLY, They clearly know NOTHING about exhausts and could obviously do with someone of your experience and your unbelivable depth of knowledge.

This exhaust is now FOR SALE!!! I am putting my 'straight through' Mongoose back on!!!

P.S Why would I need to Rolling road it you ?? I just wanted it quieter!?!?!? any performance increase is a bonus... but there will be an increase, just having a seperate 2.5' screamer is improving flow as that gas no longer has to exit down the exhaust. No turbulance created now where the 2 pipes rejoined either...

Steve i didnt say SIDE EXIT i said pointing down on the ground and that HAS been reported as possible cause of upsetting stability over 190mph!

How will it make a difference if your manifold is restricting?

Did Mike tell you who came up with the manifold restricting theory at over 600bhp???

ME!!! and I'm hardly the greatest engineering and scientific guru the worlds ever seen am I

so maybe its BOLLOX... maybe not...

ooooooh how exciting

They broke the EGT sensor getting it out of the old exhaust so its not pictured and I need to get another. I think they are both lambdas, one for the wideband Gauge, and one for the ECU to run closed loop.

I may be wrong

Ah, ok....that makes sense

Seems a bit odd to put them that close together though (restriction???)

Porkie when i acheive 600bhp HOME BUILT and HOME SPEC and as you say i know fook all.......it will be an even greater acheivement.

So lets sum up on this post...

Your exhaust may or maynot be better than the mongoose

The 1.06 housing will NOT make a difference in BHP (except move the power band) over the std housing if you got manifold restrictions @ 605bhp

The screamer pipe pointing direct to the floor NOT side exit MAY cause stability probs @ 190mph plus

The screamer pipe sounds like a machine gun i dont know i aint got one so was asking

Why does any that seem horse shit...please explain to me the dumbest "wannabe" 600bhp builder in the world

Thanks Rich. I thought so too and am VERY pleased with it so far. I am going to pop down to Bedford early in the new year and they are going to let me test it out on full boost and full chat. That will be the real test

Home built and home spec yes ok, so you have had no help or advice from Mark and Mike then?

I am off out now in the Sierra, I will make VERY sure I don't go above 190mph on the way... I don't want the screamer that exits straight down creating any turbulance under the car

shocking BUT VERY FUNNY

Phil... don't listen to Mike and think its gospel, he doesn't know all the info all the time. We have to throw him a few curve balls every now and again as we know he tells you any everyone else everything he possibly can

no worrys pork chop
but underneath the car is a big place

immy like a 16 valve head compared to a 8 valve head 2 small valves are bigger area and better that one big valve
same goes for the exhuasts
2 2 1/2 exhuasts into a 4 inch rear box and a sperate screamer on its own works aout a far geater area than a single 3 inch and dont forget the silancer is reduced on a mongoose to under 3 inch
do the maths like on the old post we had last month
3x2 1/2 pipes
against 1 single 3 inch

looks very good.

very good idea to put big sliencers where the fuel tank used to be.

don't see the need for 2 lambda sensors though. a wb controller can output a simulated narrow band signal for the ecu to run closed loop, or a decent ecu should use the wb signal.

Maybe it's because WB sensors are very short lived?

Thats proper

My rst Power Engineering one has a Massive silencer, and it's soooooooo quiet - u cannot hear it at all inside the car - actually quiter than std. It's 2.5 inch though, so id like to go bigger but keep it silent.
