The warning lights(on my 3 door) in middle of the dash above the radio occasionally all come on whilst driving, would this be the ecu??? or plug to it???? can someone tell me where it is please.. ta

They do indeed run from a seperate module, and these play up, usually just loose connections to the module though, had this on my 4i, and my dads does it as well.
Beefing up the earth to the module often helps.

Is it the engine red warning light, its either you have an older chip and your hitting the rev limiter, or you have a faulty sensor.
You can read the fault by bridging two of the 3 terminals on the 3 pin connector by the ecu and the red light will flash the relevant code identifying which sensor is playing up.
The ecu does not save faults so as soon as you switch the igntition off the fault code is lost and wont show again until the next time the fault happens
