Default Pad's??????

Hi all my S1 is going cossie front brake's (4x4)

Now which is the best pad to use along with the stock disc

You won't find the most massive choice available TBH. I'd buy on price, if you can get them for £35-£40 delivered consider yourself lucky.

Yeah mate,

I need a good pad price aint a massive bother TBH i just need a good solid pad to work with my stock 2WD disc

The ferrodo ds pad as said in the cossie conversion in the escort section would ya say there worth it???

DS2500/DS3000 pads are good aye, but for a road car probably OTT and wont work as good as they can until warmed up, more suited for hard road use/track i'd say?

CheeRS mate good info ,

Was advised for red stuff pad's on a stock disc but there way too hard a compound IMHO for a stock disc

I'm using greenstuff of late and tbh they're a millin miles better than they used to be. They'll be fine with standard discs and have sharpened up the braking on my daily mondingo a fair bit

You can spend £100 on pads if you want, I just think that's a lot of money for a consumable.

Green stuff heard they squeek TBH and i am mad about noises from car's like that lol,

i got standard discs and pads for my s1 (same calipers as you)..they worked spot on for road use...a million times better than standard s1 shitters..
