FAO the Ka turbo owners
Few questions if you dont mind guys:
What exhaust system did you use? did you get them specially made or can you use a fiesta turbo one?
What do the MOT centre say about the lack of a CAT?
Wheels - are they the same offset / fitment as th fiesta?
Brakes - Again do fiesta rules apply (fitting st150/170 brakes or cossies ones??)
Also - can you get Ka's with no leccy windows, power steering and a sunroof?
many thanks

Best bet is to Pm Blakey mate as he was one of the first to build one, do a serch for his posts too, as he has answered loads of questions for people.
Think he used a FRST exhaust, not sure if it was modifyed though.
MOT wise its a pre `92 engine so does not need a CAT.
Think wheel fitment is the same as a Fiesta.
Not sure about brakes, but i think Blakey used Cossie ones.
Yes you can get KA`s without sunroofs, leccy windows and no power stearing, my girlfriend has one for sale if your intrested?

they dont all have pas, the early ones, from 96, not sure when they stopped it, had no pas system fitted as standard. i think when they first bought in the number range (ka, ka2, ka 3) thats when pas started to crop up.
none until recent times have had a sunroof, and leccy windows are from collection model upwards.
go for an early base model ka as a basis for a turbo project, no frills or anything like that.
visit www.kaklub.co.uk and that should be able provide plenty of information for you.

Cheers for all the info guys! Very much appreciated.
Im not sure aobut a turbo transplant but possibly a NA engine of some kind (for that track day reliability - and also long runs to random females houses ) Im sure one all rally slagged up with look great. just gotta get some cash together now...
STU - Ka's aint gay! I love small cars - and unlike yourself, i dont need a big car to make up for lack of size in the trouser department!
