What was your first car and how much did it cost?
My first car was a Volkswagen Golf Mk 2 on a C plate, a really "lovely" dark red colour and it cost me £1300!!!!
That was in 1998.

B reg mk 3 1.3L blue escourt, only 30k on the clock, owned by an old boy thet had a stroke and left it in the garage for 5 yrs. Mint motor, shame I trashed it

I had a mk1 fiesta 1.1 and it cost me £350 and i had it for a year done loads to it but im not sure why i botherd
it was repainted met movey colour

k reg clio 1.4 rt, back in the student days, no wheel trims, the
only way i can describe the colour is pea green, no wheel trims,
faded plastics on it, hand brake turned it into a shop window, bent
sub frame when i hit a kirb and put a big dint in the sill, all in 3
months that i had it, and i put 9k on the clock

Back in 1989, an X reg Fiat X1/9 - really fun little car with sweet sounding engine
. For those not even born then, it was Fiat's version of an MR2 with a detachable targa roof - mid-engined and pop-up headlights. Was absolutely mint and cost me £2500. Insurance was cheap in those days - even at only 18 with no NCB, it was only £477 TPF&T.

Bought it off the old man for £50 after if failed the MOT.
Felt like the dogs balerics in it back in 82
Changed the rear brake calipers to get it through.
Ran her for 12 months, killed her good & proper and sold at auction for £70
Happy days

1990 was the year.
Fiesta mk1 1.1 finished in a dashing biege colour. It may well have had vynil roof.
Subtle mods I did;
XR2 pepper pots
Cut springs
Air filter removed
6x9's
Alpine head unit
My 2nd 3rd 4th 5th & 6th cars were all Mk1 Fiesta's!
I love 'em

Greg Mk4 Escort 1.3 Bonus+, Magenta in colour, Running twin 40's and straight through Exhaust, on XR3 Clover leaf alloys.... My God was it Loud Cost me £1200 and the same to insure it TPFT back in 1997... I actually Loved that car PX'ed it with local Ford dlrs back in 1999 and the same night i gave it to them some one stole it drove it down the local playing fields and crashed it into a goal post writing it Off

Ford Escort 1.3L Xr3i Replica in red. Bought for 200, painted and fitted the 3i stuff and series one 7 spokes for another 300. Sold it for 600...100 quid profit...and thats the ONLY CAR ive made a profit on

1.1 mk1 fiesta, T reg (CTM557T), wonder if it's still around. Bright yellow it was (with a bit of brown where the rust was )

passed in 95 first car MG Metro - A33 AMO - £60. Needed a rear quarter cos it got hit by a forklift newspaper, loads of filler bit of black paint lasted 6months then got nicked for bald tyres and failed front suspension I had let the hydragas out.

citroen ax gt g reg white with white compo mo's and cobra buckets, pissed me mates off something rotten cause it used to abliterate there poxy nova sr's and used to keep up with another mates nova gte o and it cost me a grand about 4 years ago
