Decided I want a 3 door at last
Don't know if this is a good or bad idea but i've decided I want a 3 door at last, been looking at them more and more recently, and enquired about a few. Not sure what i should do to fund it as i had my heart set on finishing the 4x4 to a high spec and it's nearly there or will be by Q1 next year with any luck. I've got about half the money sitting for a nice one but i definately can't justify having another car so if anyone is in the market for a deal on 2 saphs or knows of a decent 3 dr (bodywise, not worried about engine/box) for the right price, let me know.

Partially, i enquired about Carlo's old one at the time as I've been thinking about it for a while. The sooner the better as they will only get rustier and go up in value. Been looking at 500's aswell, but not really worth the added £ for essentially the same thing. it'd HAVE to have 500 front/rear on it though, NO exceptions to that.

Ive been thinking of getting shot of mine, I just dont seem to have gelled with it yet, possibly because i aint done many miles in it. And when it is out, the cossie paranoia kicks in and cant relax, though when i give it some and i give some poor unsuspecting evo ,m3,R8, or whatever a pasting the love comes back.STANDARD LOOKS ROCK imo
I had a silver one like yours when i was 18 or 19 and hated it being 4x4, IMO 2wd is much better, and i miss my moonstone saff, it was 380ish and never really off the road and used most of the year. I just cant bring my self to use the 3 door in iffy weather.ie most of the year.
If i ever do get rid i may be going to the darkside.
Or buy an RST

The 4wd is complete, mot'd but in the garage for storage i just have some bits i wanted to do to it, like a bara box and bigger turbo and new steering rack, the 2wd needs a new rack fitted, and front bumper replaced and then mot'd.

sell it and get a 3dr, swap any bits over that you might use on a 3dr with standard parts..........
Thats what i'd do anyway otherwise you'll always wonder

Preferably white, but not all that fussed TBH. 4x4 definately won't be broken I'm afraid, i doubt very much if i'll even sell it TBH, i'd rather just keep it and save up the extra money, but the 2WD is for sale as soon as it's finished, i'm definately not keeping that. As STU says, only thing that puts me off is the vast amount of over priced crap, just cause it's a 3 door it's automatically worth +£10.5k, not if it's a bucket and rusty, i'd rather have a saph in good nick.

Good stuff Rog,
Have been putting my shoping list together for my own one recently so am nearly there.
Will get the CSL swapped out with it in the next few weeks and get the thing put back together and roaded again
Gonna use it and abuse it on every track day i can get booked on

By the time you've bought a clean 3dr and sourced the 500 kit your into good money - might be worth view RS500's.
