i'd sell mate ! if you think its costing you a lot of money now just wait till you get it out on the road.mapping that engine and getting the power you want will cost a fortune, and then if you do stick at it and get the power you want you will smash your gearbox to bits in no time.
ask your self what woud you do if you were at a show and the head gasket went ! would you think well its in bits lets get more power or would you be pissed off and want to sell it.

Why Gary?
To tell the truth I am also losing my patience with my Frst, I have only driven it 4 times in 6 months this year, always seems to be something going wrong lately. Headgasket went last weekend to top it all of.

what gareths gearbox is gona go, i highly doubt this as its the box that did the 11.6 sec quater and 179.8mph and is worth more than ur fiesta turbo on its own.
And if gareths car doesnt beat urs id be very surprised, after all his car has a bigger spec than urs. better ECU that isnt powered by a hamster on a wheel (gotech = lospec)
and i remember ur other fiesta painted in snot green, y paint it ???? o and ur latest fiesta with mk4 back end - does that make it faster ?????
o ye green is the colour of the day isnt it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gareths car is gona be clean and a all round car, not just fast but looking good too
Full Feature CAR

just need to look at it to know that
and what are you gona blame for getting beat in a race this time, last race with me it was your gearbox.......
leave gareth to what hes doing, its a awsome car that hopefully will do big things
if not its still a full feature car !!!!!!!!!

i think most of us have felt like selling up at some point but you never get your money back so just keep at it ,it will be done when its done and it will do what it does.

at the end of the day g don't give up on it, you have a great car in the making that will show a lot of other cars up( apart from mine when it's finished and you will only regret selling it

planning is the key to getting the end result and decent times.

Through seeing your project progress on the pages of PF gaz is great, showing what a home builder can do. Like wise with crazycage and other home builders (no disrespect to other people here)
People get down not seeing £XXXX of car going but just keep your chin up.
If you don't finish it you will never know what it is capable of
Take a month of, put it under the cover. Chill for that time be it on the lash or whatever then get back on it and get it finished

i nearly gave up so many times with my old xr2, after getting tommy field to build my mental spec cvh i managed to get metal filings in the engine and completely ruining a 9 mile old engine with a repair bill just shy of 4k, then on my first track day a rocker snapped and jammed in the cam sheering the vernier off and ruining a brand new £750 head, £75 vernier and chiving all 4 of my custom spec £650 pistons
but with a bit of motivation and support from friends and family i kept on going even when i didnt really want to and the end result?
one of the quickest fwd fords on the scene - 12.6 sec 1/4
the fastest fwd mk2 xr2 ever timed as far as i know - 150 mph
and 0 -100 in 10.1 seconds
i got my full front cover feature and loads of mini features and the reward of driving it when done and the attention it got was the best feeling ever
ive just started with the 4x4 fiesta jwrc and have about 20k still to spend i reckon but i knew what i was getting myself in for this time so im preppared,
I tried to get out of it after breaking the xr2 for just under 17k and buying an E46 M3 which was great but i didnt give me the same feeling to drive it so ive sold it and im back in the game
carry on and enjoy all the blood sweat and tears and wedge you have put into it then decide if you want to sell it but finish it first and achieve what you set out to do mate

Its different for me mines a 20year old banger & I realise that seems that most see their RS's as some sort of dream machine it aint.
Yes I get fed-up because I wanted to quit this lark about 3 years ago but wanted to have one last crack at seeing how fast a Cossie can be made to go.
Used it as a road car for 10 years now im not interested in that, but im still motivated to see if 215mph is possible so I will finish this final development off but at my pace & in my time. If you cant afford to build your dreams dont start cos cars aint important compared to other things in life & should only be a hobby, never let it become anything else.

the thing is aswell if you don't go the full hog with a project you always regret it because your always thinking to yourself if i had done this if i had done that how fast could i have got how much power, i have done exactly the same thing then ended up getting another

i think there a massive waste of time and money. youve work your ass of and build it perfect to then loose 50 % of your money at the end of it ! either buy them done or at least with all the uprated parts but blown up cheap.
well thats my moto and through all my 5 cossies ive had i havnt earned anything but i havnt lost anything finished breaking even after all 5 cars over 7 years. mileage between all of them id guess 20000 miles.
