ive got an impreza atm but have been offerd an evo 4, i no its not a ford lol but was wondering what power they are standard and what insurance group they are, sory about it not being a ford again lol

i think they re nearly 280bhp not 100% group 20 insurance, evo 4 engines are nt good so watch out, something to do with the crank floating about!

well a guy i no has it, he buys last years f1 cars, and rebuilds them for all the people that buy them, it has full service history and he never realy takes it over 4rpm, i also work in a garage so little bits not to much of a prob, just any little info that would help
keep the impreza......ive had a few of both
engines suffer with crankwalk,clutches are weak and a pain to do.
first one i bought a few years ago suffered with crank float-had to buy another engine for it.second one i had drove ok until about 100 miles when the clutch started slipping-not the nicest job.

either that or go for a 4 with a 6 onwards bottom end/engine...... clutch is a complete nightmare job also, in the process of rebuilding my brothers evo 4, using a brand split 9 bottom end! so come across lots and lots of problems so far..... oh and to do the timing belt you may as well take the engine out as its nearly impossible to get it done in the car...... give me my cosworth anyday
