Default 600bhp plus project....

I think i have the right engine specs to do a safe 600bhp engine......so now its thinkin about transmission and diff.

Obviously i will only go to Bernie .....he got a decent gear kit for my T5 that will be good enuff....diff i aint sure on yet.....i want a plated is it? diff TBH as this is the cheapest option ...plus i been told it will be fine at 600.......i take it the car dont drive any different???Remember it wont do track days!..only a road car....also will a std prop be ok and shafts? ...Obviously these questions are aimed at the genuine 600plus owners ONLY...ROFL sorry Mike

i would think a standard diff would take the 600 once moving, but in order to acheive the goal you wish, i dont think it would last 1 launch at brunters

Ryan.......a std diff letting go mid straight could cause deadly effects to Mr Rainbird and unless he has good life insurance (will see Jen maybe we can hatch a deal )....then new diff

Standard Drive Shafts can break, get stronger. Fit a prop loop ( not expensive)then a standard prop can be used. If either of these break, Mike is History.

Prop and driveshaft loops are mandatory above a certain spec in US drag racing to stop people getting launched by flying shafts

Prop Loops are compulsary at Street events in the States, over a certain BHP.
Fitted around the Prop & then Fixed/welded to the floor , if the prop breaks it cant drop & turn the car over.

Lets face it Rodney, if something was to fuck up at that level around 190mph+ we'd more than likely be KFC anyway.

Long time no speak, I trust all is well.

Cheers Rod.

What a great safety precaution - may well get that fitted too.

Why? With 300bhp you got no fear of prop flying off!
