Yes, the exchange is a bit poo ( very ) but then again there drink measures are 3 times the size of ours so its still cheaper

Guardama del segura

Little known place 1/2 hour down the road from Alicante

Still got the place, we just keep a couple of weeks free otherwise we would never get into it as it gets let out most of the year

We toasted ourselves today and now i am trying to put the fire out with a few large cold ones

 

How random is that i'm moving not far from there soon. Going in January to sort the house out.

Did you ever have a place on the costa del sol ? Place in my location ?

Just got back from salou in spain last week. Fuck me exspensive,and the shop in reus airport small water 1.50euro packet of crisp's 1.30euro.

But stayed in portaventura hotel,so made up for it.

 

sooner or later your going to have to mingle with some greasy spaniards who'll be spitting in your watered down beers. suddenly the weather here doesnt seem so bad.

 

Watered down beers in Spain ? Not whereever i have lived the Spannish stuff is rocket fuel. So funny seing holiday makers have 4 pints of local and they cant walk.

 

I,ll make you right on that one mate and thats before you get onto the Spanish measures.
Sitting here in the internet cafe with what might as well be a bowl of bailys

Also, while down the local Supermarket ( Masymas ) i stocked up on some essensials for the flat IE BEER.
A SIX pack of San migiel Bottles (330 ml ) cost 2.15 Euros

Weather today was shocking, so shoking it was all over the news, rivers flowing down the roads which broke our road up at one place and we had to have it closed of by the Police.

Alicante was hit worse and was under a metre of water. Aint heard anything on the uk tv but its big news over here as they dont get rain that often and everyone comes out to check it out with there Camera phones

Heard about it on a few expat forums, the weather use to be predictable in Span now it is all over the shop. year after year very random. Though you can't beat pics like this at Christmas.



On the beer front most UK tourists stick to the stuff they know, if they tasted some local Spannish beer they would realise how shit the UK brands really are.

Looking forward to getting to Santa Pola, seems so much cheaper than the costa del sol. Got a week in January to sort house out etc can't wait.

 

Drove past Santa Pola today and from Guardama it took me just under 15 mins as the main road runs right past it from us.
You do have a Beach were Clothes are "Optional" as we do also !!!!!
On the Beer, i have been Drinking "Local stuff" as i always do
"Cruzcampo"

Still there is quite a good go cart track a few miles back in the direction of me and we have the Nightclub area......sorry Discotechs down on anna's......come to think of it there a few "nite clubs" (whore houses )on the road down to Guardama.

Been many places as bad as torri, torri aint so bad it's some of the urbanasations what look like ghettos surronding it. I'm use to all the eastern europeans and russian gangs blowing shops and mad shit from living on the costa del sol so will be nothing new to me or to worry about. Plus i'll always have my two bulldogs with me lol friendliest dogs ever yet people still cross the road from them.
