whats the going rate for a trim out of one?????

been offered a car with no trim in it, and am just trying to work out if its worth buying for a hack?????

late ones have a fuel cap like on late spec escos

early ones have in inbuilt in the wing like benporters sig late ones have a flap

was arround 1992 they changed

right , had a look and its definatly an early one as its early 92 and has no flap!!!

so this will be a recaro trim then ??????

also what's the crack with these things, is it easy to up the power a bit??? or are they best left alone???????

yes should have recaro trim,think they are concidered rare and best left alone i think

cant do much with them, its like the rs2000's

much more power can be got from turbo models

Its a spec Zetec so you can do what you like with it. I know of one running 200bhp on throttlebodies.

Only 500 made tho so I'd leave a sstandard, plenty of fun anyway

500 mades bullshIt IMO....
im pretty sure there were far more made than that... seem to remember it as only 500 made for a certain market but loads more were shipped in etc...

they arent as rare hard to find or desirable as people who own them make out.
you can pick them up from about Ł900 for reasonable ones.

as for modding it a bit.... exhaust, decat, air filter, chip (145ish bhp if lucky?).... then head, cams, carbs/throttle bodys... up to 200bhp (again if lucky)


have a look about for xfactors mk3, specs and things as this was really a nice way to go with modifying a mk3 zetec.

rs1800 recaros are the rarest fiesta recaro interior

they had a different pattern to fiesta turbo recaros.

darker and much nicer

rs1800 had the black dash, plastics and carpet etc

the pattern is neither here nor there IMO compared to FRST stuff...

the FRST is a bit fainter in the red and thats about it.


but overall the rs1800 is much better black dash and all loads better!!
(PS - ive got a black dash if anyone wants one )

the patter is different colours

rs1800 has blue in it same as 16v 2i trim but in recaro form

i wasn't going to be that critical as this one has no trim in it apart from its dash and carpet, just thought if it had recaro's in it i would just stick a recaro trim in it, if i cannot get an original trim cheap, then i will cage and bucket it, i have a couple of old seats kicking around, and as long as they are dry and still untorn, they will fit, after all, its just going to be a get me to work car through the winter , as the cossie scares the shit out of me in this weather (and 15 mpg is hurting me a lot for an everyday car!)!!!!

bloke wants a couple of hundred quid for it with 6 mnths mot....that will do! its a bit of a dog but its a good runner!!
