There's loads of choices of tb, that will fit with appropriate inlet manifold.
The ecu will need remapping, don't know whether your std injectors will fit, but tb suppliers will.
JENVEY do some ace ones, but expensive.

I want to do all the work except mapping myself. I know I can use bike throttle bodies with my existing manifold mountng plate (incase your not aware the st170 inlet is attached via rubber hose to the a mounting late attached to the head meaning the trottle bodies will fit against the existing plate and hose bit thingys) but its like which bodies i need, how do i go about the throttle cable linkage etc, what else is required, is standard fuel pump up to job etc

thanks
tonm

you will have to just make a cable up, think the gsxr 1000 will be ok for the job and as for the injectors you will have to see what sort they will take.
have done a few st170 on TB and they all run so much better

This is really unhelpful but helpful in a way, there is a guide on the net somewhere, i have seen it on how to do it so dont stop searching, you have to make up and weld a linkage. If i find it i will post the link in here

I imagine it will need a new ecu rather than remapping the standard.

This is the site with the how to artical

http://www.mez.co.uk/ms10.html

Mark

Edit to add that there does not seem to be a mention of how the ali tubes were fitted to the bodies ?
Also get the earliest GSXR bodies you can, the first ones only had one butterfly and newer ones had a second that will need removing.

Hi mozzy, i'm running a black top zetec with Gsxr 1000 tb's, as gordon1 say's they run a hell of alot better and smoother, the thing about the Gsxr tb's is that you can separate them into individual's so there straight on to the port of the head, plus there tapered 42mm at the head and 54mm at the trumpet end which is great for forcing air in, a universal throttle cable should see you right, also i'm usine the Gsxr injectors which have a flow rate of 220cc which is plenty for me running at 200bhp you may have to go bigger but depends on what your plans are..

I found this one also
http://www.linktobusiness.co.uk/foru...hp?f=16&t=1960

The main problem is space, there is not much room between the inlet and bulk head, most inlets foul the alternator, you will need a complete new ecu unless you fit an air box to thew bodies with a single inlet to run the standard sensors

excellent link, looks a lot easier than i thought but still quite daunting, i might buy a spare manifold etc and make that up as in the diagrams first
