Quick answer needed aircon gases?
Need some quick help currently taking the engine out of a mk5 fietsa zetec s its got aircon how do i get the gases out are they toxic i dont have one of those machines and need it out???

Legally you are supposed to have the gas drained by someone qualified as its pretty nasty stuff.
Pretty sure now though they use less harmful stuff, so should be ok. When I did it once a few years back I removed the plastic cap on the charging valve, screwed a screw into the end, then slowly screwed the cap back on so it was pressing down the ball valve inside to release the gas. (this was before I knew that it aint very good for you just to add )

Testing the future
it's not particularly toxic to humans unless you breathe only that in, just the environment as 1kg of that has the same global warming potential as 1300 kg of CO2.
the biggest risk is of freeze burns to your skin or eyes as you release it but you have luckily escaped injury this time. next time don't chance things that you don't understand.
