How can it? Erm take the L, the 4 (but we'll use that as an A ok?), the L, the D and the Y. Put them together and you get LALDY. Now of course we missed the 1 out but as the one is smallest letter/number you could have on a plate it's quite easy to read "past" it and read Laldy.
What you cant do is push an L together with a 1 to make a W. If anything it could be a U.
Seeing as you object to Laldy lets call you UALDY. Sorted

Plates that have something to do with a car look good like COS, RST etc.
Lol I had to take a pic of this plate a couple of years ago now!
The poor owner probably thinks its his initials lol!

How about if we use Ll4LDY and put the black fastening in between the L and l
