I think its something along the lines of he can ride anything providing its restricted to no more than 33bhp, then 2 years from passing his test he can ride whatever he likes.

edited to say it's only people aged 21 years and over that can get true 'direct access' to any motorcycle they like.

will that show as a part or full bike on his licence , and then its just a case of waiting the two years out '?

beef i'm sure it's still classed as a full license but like said above he'll be restricted for 2 years if he's 18 it's a bonus cos as long as he's sensible and stays alive on it he'll have it unrestricted at 20 .

and yellow sierra you have to take a test the same as everybody else now, some people got grandfarther rights on their licenses when you didn't need a licence to ride a motorcycle, but cos you are starting from scratch all the current rules apply to you.

dont know what it will show up as on his license tbh... but yeah it'd be a case of waiting 2 years and then riding whatever he wants.
