Default Tips for unseizing an exhaust?

Trying to remove an exhaust. the back box and centre box where they join is seized and won't fucking come loose.

Get some heat on it mate with a welding torch, or if not as above, soak some wd40 into it over night then a good wallop with a lump hammer!

penetrate it over night with oil then lots and lots of heat.

should crack right off.

last resort cut a slit, or try and stretch the lip of the outer pipe. Can then weld it up after or shrink hammer it back

if you pull the back box off the hangers you can sometimes just try twisting it until the firegum seal breaks

but if soemone has clamped it up too tight then you may need to call in the hep od mr oxy and mr acetalene to free the joint off

Sorted. Had to get seriously angry with it, gave it a good wiggle and it set it's self free.

Do use a lump hammer, just use your noddle a bit and also use a block of wood to stop damage.

Not that it matters as its off now.
