I always used 5W40 fully synth in my cvh's.

Is fully synthetic not a bit thin?

The "thiness" or viscosity is determined by the numbers ie 10W40 etc.
The test is the viscosity at a lower temp then at a higher temp, so a same viscosity oil is the same whether mineral or synthetic, though a mineral will break down much easier.
I also use 5W40 in me dads mondy, and it's perfect.
