Star keys? The removal is undo the 2 x 13mm i think size wise bolts from the front and undo the 2 twist plastic knobs from either side.

there are 2 bolts you have to undo, there in the square box part of the chassis and there are 2 you loosen off, you don't have to take then out,in the same place.

you have the parts thats connected to the wings then, iirc, 13mm bolts to come off then it should be off.

The 2 torx bolts are just for adjusting the height of the bumper.

The way I do it:-

Remove the two plastic 1/4 turn retainers from both sides.

Behind the bumper in line with the torx bolts are 4 x 17mm headed bolts, you need to loosen the front two and remove the two nearest the engine.

you can then pull the bumper slightly forwards and disconnect the indicators and fogs.

Then the headlamp washer pipe - but it's quite long so you can get away with that, depends what you are doing.

sounds like someones tried removing it the wrong way before then and stripped the threads on the adjuster/and or bracket, you will have to remove the bumper for accesss to repair it though
