very sad watching it last night, the cloud of dust through the streets was scary! i cant undertsand why they told people to stay put, if it was me i would of been out of there.

The question is - would you of jumped if you was stuck on the top floors, i think i would have to, the heat would of be horrible!

RIP

I just couldn't imagine being on the upper floors and making the decision to jump.I have however been badly burned and from that experience yes i would jump.

Without sounding too derranged (sp?)... I think I would have hung myself rather than burn to death or jump from such a height.

Cheers,

Fair play to the fire fighters, true heros.

I dont view the deaths as any more tragic than the thousands of african children today who died because the western world was more interested in profit from drug patents than charity though.
Its a tradegy what happen at the twin towers, but far more evil things happen everyday in the name of the capitalism that they stood for, its easy to see why they were picked as a target (please dont read that as me agreeing with what happened, i most certainly dont!)

the look of shock and bewilderment on most folks faces was very striking. Plus the people talking to the emergency services sounded harrowing as well...

A moving programme thats for sure.

Its also a case of its easier for most of us to relate to a middleclass white person who works in an office than it is to relate to a poverty stricken african child who lives in a mudhut I guess, so we feel the pain more of people similar to us, where as we happily ignore the thousands of deaths of those people with which we have nothing in common.
