Question another cossie oil pressure query!

i've done a search but keep finding different answers.

my 4x4 is at 55psi cold idle and drops to 20psi hot idle(never drops below even after driving hard) and when warm its at 40psi at 2000 rpm when cruising!!

is this ok or is it a little on the low side? the car is using mobil1 15-50 oil.

any advise will be great!!

cheers

running the same oil in mine and it seems to be burning it off as there was no smoke when running semi...tiny bit of blue now (hope its not rings lol)

Oil pressure is 4bar on cold start up then drops to 2bar hot idle...not sure what it is under load as the oil pressure guage is under the bonnet on mine

Not sure if these pressures are considered ok or not, was actually thinkin of starting my own thread with this same question

I know this isnt much help m8 but at least its a comparison

yea i think that works out at 29psi hot idle-so is higher than mine.
i've been looking through the searchs but all seem to have different pressures and alot was for the high pressure pumps. i think mine is a standard pump.

thanks for the reply!

Mine is about 58-60 on initial cold start up. Drops to about 28-30 at hot ( 90deg c ) idle.
About 50-55 roughly on hot cruise at about 3k.
Oil is 10W50 Silkolene Pro.
Used to be a couple of psi more on Castrol RS ( now Edge ) 10W60 but the reasons for that are well documented
