Default where to place your sub box?

i want to mount my sub box in the boot this time in the mondeo because it was floating around in my escort and i ripped the RCA leads and also power leads out a few times

i no most people put a board on the floor and screw the sub into that but i don't want the hassle of having the board to move for the spare i no you can put a hatch in for this, BUT i also will more than likely have the seats folded down and use carry big items, in the escort i used to just leave it all connected and dump it on top on the amp (mounted on back of the seat) and cover it all.

has anyone mounted the sub onto the back of the seat, what you guys think?, means i could still have all the space when the seats are folded, and my sub secure too

(edit) just thought it'd mean i'd have vibrating rear seat function too could come in useful.

I used one similar to this and velcro'd the box to the boot. Never went anywhere despite a LOT of hard cornering/braking etc.

yea the misses tells me off for playing it loud and the last thing i need is tinnitus , it's only single 12" 1000w peak though, so nothing too major, just gives it that bit extra and takes the strain off the door speakers

I have like luggage straps on mine. Screws into the back seat and into the side of the box, with a quick release connector. Wouldn't do it any other way! Not moved an inch despite very hard driving etc

My velcro hooks were stapled to the box and the carpet was fluffy enough for it to stick.

I used the velcro stapled to the bottom and back of the box. The only problem was the boot of a mundano isn't perfectly flat and the little piece of board isnt strong enough so mine ended up tipped over a few times.

I pulled the carpet out to use it as a template and made a floor in 2 pieces. It gave plenty of space to get to the spare and the velcro done its job perfectly i had a piece in each corner on the back and bottom. If i had to fill the boot i'd put something on front of the sub to protect it and turn it off at the headunit. The amp was on the back of the seat and had just enough cable to allow for the seat to fold down. You only had to undo the cables to the sub then if you really had to remove it.
