Default Escort engine conversion 1.8 - 2.0

Hi I want to drop a mondeo 2.0 silvertop into my escort. Just in the middle of pulling the 1.8 115 zetec standard out. Just wondering what I need
to change and what would be best to do? Would the existing engine loom work? Or would it need changing? Would the fusebox need changing? And lastly, what would be the best option to sort the fuelling out? If I remapped the existing ecu, would everything still be ok?? Any comments greatly appreciated. Cheers

strip the 1800 engine your taking out and transfer all the ancillaries over onto the 2litre block mate including the sump which needs changing.
treat the 2litre block as a replacement 1800 then all you need is a remap or change of management to sort the fueling out
The 1800 management will cope fine to get you started and iron out any little issues

Theres no need to change your gearbox unless your having problems with it, Like said above. Change the sump over and a few litle bits and your there mate

You don't need to change much. Sump, oil pick up pipe, maybe clutch. Also ECU

Probably a guide here mate: www.ford-force.com
