back in the day when the 4by came out the 2wd cos were hard to shift new,so you could get a g plate 2wd and a h plate 2wd then in late 92 you could still get new 91 4x4's as the recession and high insurance put paid to new rs sales for a few years.
theres nowt special about a car ford couldn't sell new unfortunately.

Yeah, this is my old girl. I have seen 4 2wd H plates and I'm not sure what the Cozzfather's problem is about it being a H plate. This is the second thread that he has said that my car isn't special, to be fair I don't remember saying it was. It is a talking point if nothing else and I like that fact that I have a H plate 2wd Cos.

Thanks for the nice comments regarding the car, I appreciate the wheels aren't to everyones taste but they really do look better in the flesh, I don't think they look very good in pictures for some reason. I do like the old skool look of them though, and don't worry I still have the original rims tucked away in the garage.

3drpete, where abouts do you see me at? what do you drive as a daily runner as I have never seen a 3dr on the way to work? give me a flash next time.

I think it looks great on those wheels. Comps are about as common to cossies as lexus lights are to a saxo imo!

i'm pointing out somthing thats all, i have seen loads of cosworths since they came out and a loads of 2wd g and h reg.
a cosworth is special but a 2wd h reg isn't, now calm down

Cheers Pete, I will keep an eye out for you tomorrow.

To all those who think I drive like Miss Daisy, my excuse is that the pot holes and roads in general are shocking round Derby. Couple that with the fact that I pass 2 speed cameras on the ring road, I hope this clears this matter up.

im sorry but i dont think they suit the car at all. I think the H 2wd,s must count as fairly special as they must be rare, i,d say the lattice,s should be on there, or even 3 door rims.
Great thing i find with the saph is you can have 4x4 bonnet, then choose either amber or 90 spec lights , then the correct saph rim to suit...., i think if using an after market wheel u gotta be careful they just dont do it for imo.
