Exclamation Help - need a car thats got a BIG boot - now got one, pics pg2

Ive had the subaru 2 weeks, cant fit my stuff in it, so ive just sold it

I need something that

a) can hold quite a lot of stuff bootwise - i take 4x large plastic boxes, 1x suitcase, 2x wheelie baskets, an A frame and a large bag of visuals. Then i have to fit the kids in the back, so all of this needs to fit in the boot

b) Is no more than 2k

c) Is not absolutely hideous, and needs to be reliable.

d) Is not a fortune to tax

Suggestions PLEASE, i just need something adequate ive had 5 cars this year

Sarah

Was gonna say the same. Ive got a V70 T5 Estate, cavernous boot, goes really well and can get over 400 miles out of a tankfull when taking it easy. Mine was 2.2k with 82K on the clock, FVSH, full black leather, dual air-con etc. It replaced my 850 T5 which eventually gave up the ghost at 199K!

i was horrified at the thought of getting a people carrier but when we looked at a few they are so practical, we were going to get an S-max but didn't want to lay out 13k on one so got a galaxy instead, so far well impressed with it, we only have 2 kids at the mo so often leave only 2 seats in the back, it leaves masses of room.

Subaru legacy, great range of cars in that price range (from 300bhp twin turbos with impreza like preformance to 2.0 n/a that are a little slow most with well below average mileage for their year) the estates are spacious and cofortable (bigger boot than the mondeo estates and the volvo's) i have had 2 estates now and never had to spend a penny on them the first was a 2.0 n/a which i got rid of at 250k miles with no faults at all and the second a twin turbo which i kept upto 100k with no faults either

brilliant cars for the money
