Default 3dr sierra...do i buy or not????

ive always wanted a mk1 3dr as my dad use to have them when i was a kid & i loved them,i always keep my eye's open for one local ish but they never seem to be around,
the other day i found two, just base models. i went & asked the bloke what are you doing with the sierra's? he said he's goin to race them & by looking at the other sierra race cars they are fooked he does stock car racing.
i said you cant do that as these are getting rare.
but to cut along story short he said he would sell me one in the end.
choice off 2,blue one or silver, just engine's missing & need abit of work but would do a resto on one off them anyway
he said £450 for any of them.
is this dear or a good price??
cheers

if the shell is solid i'd say personally thats a fair price. Plus your always willing to pay more for something you really want. i.e if it was a mk2 fiesta shell, you wouldn't want to pay that for it would you.

obviously knock him down though, just dont come out with the classic "its only an old banger mate "

If you want one, why not? I reckon they are a cool car. I can imagine they were the thing in their day. Buy one!

£450...snap his hands off!

Have you thought about yb power?

All the stuff basically bolts on, just buy a rotten/dammaged cosssie.

You could always keep the outside stealth and original looking.

Thats would be my bet anyway, would definatly be the most sensible economicly wise. As the return/resale value if you were every to sell it would be good.

Then again how many a bog standard sierra in restored condition do you see. would be a nice rare classic!
