Default Hello , My 3dr Sierra 2.3d restoration here

sorry , if i didn`t appear before , I`m from Croatia , student of mechanical enginering...

I own a couple of old sierras (All 3 doors, but because I am a student , I needed a diesel , couce its cheap to tank , and easy to mantain (Have one 2.0 pinto EFI sierra , and one non working Sierra RS cosworth 3dr)..
First , I was looking for a 3 door sierra which is a diesel for quite some long time , and couldn`t find any... They are pretty scarse in croatia....

This is what I finally found..for about 200€

The car was in awful shape...I mean tragic... so I needed some parts...Dismantling my sierras was not an option, so I found a XR4i in tragical condition , and used her for spare parts...

then , the time for some welding

Then , it was time to do some mechanics...
first ..
power window lifters..in croatia, You cant find them stock , universal are weak , and low quality , so I desided to make my own...

and that`s how far I got

Still , I have plans to make the engine turbo charched (Only need to get my hands on the head and turbo of a peugeot 505 2.5TD...)...

Some interior will be changed (The dashboard will be form mark 3 sierra) , and so on...

P.S. SORRY for my bad english :/...

Loveing this, reminds me of when I did my S1 rst and money was tight.

Love the use of imagination on budjet builds, and love the old skool welding

Not sure how economical those old diesels are tho, would have thought a newer cvh or something like the endura OHV engine from the early 90's would be more economical? CVH was fitted for some sieeras as standard so should be an easy fit.

Looking foward to the updates

excellent work, good to see a run of the mill car getting restored rather than the normal top of the range, well done.
