i wouldnt use the facet red top in the car in my own experiance, 044 pumps are noisey enough but facet pumps take the piss lol, and as for aeromotive you need ear defenders i think after hearing porkie's on the 3 door lol

mine was more basic...

custom fuel tank, low pressure pump feeding the swirl then a high pressure under the floor feeding the engine.

also advice i was givin was to not bolt the pumps or tank directly to the floor etc if they are not in some kind of tray or box as in a hard shunt if the floor was to crease or bend up badly it could rupture the fuel tank/lines leaving petrol pissing over the occupants, least mounted in a tray if the car bends up mounts of that will take the bending force and hopefully not the tank itself

yep, mine was bolted to a floating floor panel within the spare wheel well. i also had a plumbed in fire sytem that sprayed foam on the tank area and engine area in case of this happening. it did work as it should when i had a heavy front and rear impact.

your fuel tank is the wrong way round mate as the pump outlet should be at the back really as when it gets low and under forward motion this is where the fuel will be heading

i turned it round as i wanted the outlet at the front

it can stay like it, if its nigh on empty then i wont ragging the shit out of it, i aim to try and keep quarter of atank at any one time.

plus it made more sense having less fuel line than going round the back of the tank

also the tank has an inbuilt fuel collector that may help a bit.

either way, its done now and i aint changing it

actually they DID fit it in the car. i left the car with them and colected it a week later!

not once did wayne or alex asy that the fuel cell HAD to stay how it was, nor explain why!

thats not a dig at all btw, i just didnt know it was supposed to stay how they fitted it.

it has an internal collector, so wont that help avois surge? thinking about it i guess probably not...

that means more expense.... anyone want to buy a 3dr?

its not too much work to spin it around is it ?

also, i think it was dave (yum) had a problem with a pro tank, so if you still get problems with surge with it turned round put a swirl pot in there, this is what we did with the bastos escos track car and now its mint

i guess it will just require some longer 19mm id hose to run around the tank. i didnt want to do that originally as it looks a bit ghay...

but i guess at some pint it will be spending another Ł30 on fooking hose

Mine is simply a home made alloy tank

With an internal swirl pot (from a Vauxhall Zaphira lol) and submersed pump fitted inside

Sunk low down for centre of gravity reasons and mounted central in a steel box built within the safety cell of the cage.

One fill tube, one take off pipe, one return pipe (into swirl pot), and the breather pipe with the essential roll over valve fitted. Works well, quiet as a mouse, easy to fill and no messy pumps / filters or oversize swirl tanks on show
